In the face of near inmountable prrof for the oposition why can%26#039;t any christians just say %26quot;Wow that is messed up.%26quot; or anything like that. When provided with contradictiosn they say there are none. When confronted with the atrocities of the religion they say other religions did bad stuff too. So that makes it ok? Your religions not ok. If jesus feels you with so much love then why are there so many stupid mean christians on this very site. Do you realize when you justify things by saying you have to view it with the spirit or such you sound just like a person on drugs. Exactly like LSD.
If you have to believe in something why not make up a god and be ok with that god. Instead of shoe horning yourself into this made up story just to fit in. Is that all you want is acceptance?
Christians please try to answer my next question as well as this one if you want to really explain your religion.

Reply:Because there are precious few real Christians in this world. Most live in glass houses (with real gold faucets) trashing the lives of others while they live in ignorant splendor. Most real Christians would not waste their time on this site. How can I defend Jesus Christ in the face of such atrocities done in his name? Jesus needs no defense. He does not ask us to choose to follow him or to reject him based on those who claim to be his followers. He asks us to listen to him, to determine who he said he is and what he wants his followers to do, and then for each one of us to choose for ourselves.
Praise God that he doesn%26#039;t determine how well I am following him based on what some others who call themselves Christians say or do.

Some of them probably aren%26#039;t really Christians at all. I%26#039;ve met many people who believe they are %26quot;Christians%26quot; because they are not Muslims or Jews. There are many church-going people who have never made a decision to follow Jesus Christ.
Others are probably very immature believers and feel threatened by Atheism and related questions. They are still young in spiritual learning, and God has a lot of work to do in their lives as far as developing the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, and self-control.
And, yes, I agree with you that Christians are not supposed to be %26quot;mean.%26quot;

Reply:First off, please cite references for these atrocities and inconsistancies. You are making gross generalizations on a subjuct, that, by the wording of your question, you know very little about. I won%26#039;t say that my God is wrong because I believe his promises. I%26#039;m not so impressionable that I let misinformed people who are a little over-zealous in their faith dissuade me from what I know to be Absolute Truth. What is wrong with being confidant in one%26#039;s faith? Seems to me that atheists and people that believe %26quot;everything is relative%26quot; get so ANGRY snf HOSTILE when someone believes their Way to be right. Why the vitriol? Can%26#039;t stand someone stand up for one truth? what is the point of believing in something if it%26#039;s just as right or wrong as the next belief? I don%26#039;t see good sense in that.
