How to get a diesle to pass emmisions(this ones a tuffy)?

ok so i may sound like a jackass but i have a 97 s-10 thats in not to bad of shape but i want more power and i know how im gona get it %26gt;: ) i am going to shoe horn a (97-99) cummins 12 valve from a dodge ram 2500 or 3500. i know i can do it i have the tech knowledge (ie wiring welding torching comp reprogram-standalone) the only thing is i know it wouldnt pass emmision%26#039;s cuz the car would be tested under gas standerd%26#039;s cuz thats what it came with. i live in nj and i know that there rules arnt to strickt like cali, im just wondering if there is some legal way i can get around it like regeristing it as a commercial vehicle or some thing like that. well any info would be cool cuz i realy dont want it to be a track truck(i wana make it a sleeper) i want to terrorize the streets of my town hehehe.

Reply:not possible,if you want to pass emissions. there were no diesel emissions in 1997, but there were gasoline emissions in 1997. see the conflict? you will get the big R in your window everytime.
